Copyright gives an owner or creator the exclusive rights to recreate or make copies of something. Fair use is the idea that certain copyright material can be quoted and used for things such as news reporting, education and research without needing permission from the copyright owner. As a teacher, I would focus on using fair use materials in supplementing my work. I also understand the significance of copyright and I would teach this to my students by informing them they can create and be copyright holders.
Cyberbullying is a real issue as we become more of a digital world. As we begin to use more online spaces in the classroom, it is easy for the toxic culture to get online. We can avoid this by teaching our students how to be kind to one another in real life and online. With increasing the use of technology in the classroom, there is also the issue of academic dishonesty. We can avoid this by offering the students accountability with resources such as turn it in. Also, emphasizing the consequences of academic dishonesty can aid in deterring students from being tempted.
I learned of a lot of new features in word, including using columns and wordart. In the future, I can improve my newsletter through having it be less wordy. There is a lot of information on there that can make it overwhelming for some. I will for sure be using this newly gained skill of being able to create a newsletter. I did not think I could create something this detailed and intentional.
