When the semester first moved online in 2020 and I became a distance learner, I thrived! I had so much free time- it could have been considered too much. Now, I have found things to occupy that free time and left myself to be overwhelmed. As a teacher, I would help to give student tips and advice on how to succeed as a distance learner.

OERs are teaching and learning resources that are open access to anyone. I am fond of these resources as it increases accessibility to knowledge and education, a benefit for all of society. In the article, Fostering social inclusion through open educational resources (OER), Gráinne Conole discusses the beneficial impacts the OERs has in our society. I think increased accessibility leads to overall inclusion of those in society.
