Technology, ToolKits and Internet Searching!
I choose the 7th grade as I believe that is a time where students begin to approach mastery on the functionals of engaging with technology. At this point, they can be introduced to how to critically think about the way that technology exists around them. I choose the standard LAFS.7.RI.3.7, which focuses on comparing and contrasting a text to a an audio, video, or multimedia version of it, while analyzing how each version portrays the subject and how the manner of presentation impacted the idea. I would feel prepared to implement this standard as I have been able to analyze this casually in my daily life. I can read the news and listen to a podcast about the same idea from the same source and interpret it quite differently. Therefore, by practicing this in my daily life, I am confident I could implement this in the classroom in a manner that is communicable to students.
After diving into the educator toolkit, I would likely use one of their lesson plans in my classroom. I choose 7th Grade Social Studies and the lesson plan I would likely use is titled Comparing the U.S. and Florida Constitutions! The Florida Constitution has always been an interest of mine because it is designed in a way that allows for our government to truly be made up by the people for the progress of our State. It would be interesting to follow this lesson plan, which is a structure on how to lead students to critically analyze the difference and similarities. I would use this resource because it is intentional on achieving the set learning standards, preventing me from getting off topic on a subject I am passionate about.
As a teacher in 2021, it is significant to be proficient in internet searching. Our world is currently virtual due to the pandemic. Proficiency at the most basic technology skills is important because not being so can cause delays in class. One of those being: internet searching. Of the internet searching skills that were introduced this week, I would use the filter search for images. It is not something I consider when putting together a project so learning about that will ensure I am following the rules of the copyright.

Oh my gosh we picked the same lesson plan toolkits for CPALMS! I really like the resources that we both showed, especially since yours using critical analyzing skills for your lesson plans. I also agree that as a future teacher in the 21st century, we need to be proficient in our internet searching skills.
